9 Colours of Navratri

Navratri is a nine day long Hindu festival celebrated every year in the autumn. The word Navratri means 'nine nights' in sanskrit. The nine nights of navratri depict the battle between Durga and demon Mahishasura. The nine days of Navratri are dedicated to goddess Durga and her nine avatars the Navadurga. Each day of Navratri the devotees gets dressed in a specific colour. 1) October 17 ( Grey)- It's the very first day of navratri when kalash sthapna is done.
