First impression is the last impression

On her first day at her in-law's place, Shobha sees her mother-in-law's unexpected appearance, which is unforgettable to her.

On the day of Shobha's arrival at her in-laws, Shobha's mother-in-law got furious over something at her Devrani. The matter seemed very small to Shobha but not to her mother-in-law. Due to this, Shobha started keeping ill feelings toward her mother-in-law and became afraid of her. But, Shobha never faces her mother-in-law's anger. She was usually very nice to Shobha.

Still, seeing her mother-in-law in that state of rage on her first day at her Sasural has put a deep impression on Shobha. This impression of her mother-in-law has made Shobha a person who keeps his feelings to himself.

Similarly, a woman named Kalpana has got appointed as a teacher in a school. When she went to her class on her first day, she made kids terrified of her by yelling and scolding them throughout their study period. Now, even when children have doubts in class, they can't gather the courage to clear those by asking questions to their teacher. As soon as she leaves class, the children breathe a sigh of relief.

There are lots of people like Shobha's mother-in-law and Kalpana out there in the society who are amiable but, because of some circumstance or unknowingly behave in an unadmirable way that rubs people the wrong way.

Shobha's mother-in-law and Kalpana are examples of people who don't understand the importance of a first impression.

These people sometimes harm themselves, like how Abhilasha did.

Let's know about her story now.

Abhilasha's parents fixed her marriage with a man named Anand, who worked as a computer engineer in America. Therefore, when she heard that he was coming to see her, she wore an ultra-modern dress.

Her parents didn't complain about it as they thought Anand would be a guy with modern thinking.

For the whole time, Anand was there, Abhilasha behaved in a pretentious manner. It was surprising to see her talk in English when Anand tried to speak to her in Hindi. As a result of this fake behavior, Anand rejected the marriage proposal. If only Abhilasha had behaved in a more pleasant manner, things would have turned out well. The example given above is another one that explains the importance of a good first impression.

During interviews, many students sit on the interview chair with a big thump that leaves a bad impression of them on the interviewer.

Some students don't understand the importance of proper dressing when coming to interviews. They wear chick, casual clothes instead of formal attire. This mistake makes them look unprofessional and undependable in the interviewer's eyes.

A student of this kind is a typical example of someone who doesn't know or understand what a first impression means.

Now, please don't misunderstand. One should not strive to put a good first impression on someone only to make them furious later.

Try to treat other people well at all times.

Don't put on a fake identity to please someone. Why? Because that identity falls off. If a person is not being true to himself, how will he be true to others?

Being a beautiful person at heart should be your goal. Be kind and loving to yourself and to others.

This way, you will always leave a good, if not splendid first impression on others.
