Get a grip on yourself by controlling your anger

We all know that feeling, after a horrible fight, how we feel guilty for being so angry with the other person. 

Thoughts like - 'It was not all his fault or, I shouldn't have gone on like that' - come to us after we get mad at someone and react in a manner that doesn't please anyone. 

It's okay to feel angry sometimes. After all, it's a feeling just like happiness and sadness that comes naturally to us. 

But it can be considered unnatural too. Let's discuss when it can be a problem and how we can know if our anger is getting problematic for us.

To find out if you have anger issues, see if you tend to get irritated by even the smallest of mistakes and wrongdoings of others or even yourself. If you do, then it is a problem.

Now let's see what we can do to fix this issue. 

Try to see if there is something that is bothering you for some time. That something could be the reason for your intolerant behaviour that results in frustration and anger. 

Whenever you feel like you are losing control over yourself, pause for a moment and take a long, deep breath. Doing this will calm you down for a bit and give you some time to think over what to do next.

Anger often comes to us because we live a stressful life. 

To reduce stress, we should do the following -

Take 6-8 hours of sleep every day (if you don't already).

Eat less salted and processed foods.

Avoid smoking and alcoholic drinks.

Exercise to healthify and energize our bodies.

Practice regular meditation.

Listen to soothing music.

Doing all these things will help you elevate stress and lead a more peaceful life.

If you still don't feel that great, it would be nice to continue doing everything we have mentioned above and see a good psychologist. Many people resist the urge to go and see a doctor, but it is absolutely wrong. His prescribed medicines and advice are only going to help you lead a better life.
